Midweek Meals
Thanksgiving edition 🌞
Happy Wednesday. Today, I’m visiting you with a few last-minute Thanksgiving recipes.
Midweek Update
I’m so excited that I got the photos back from my farmer’s market shoot a few weeks ago! Above is a little sneak peek. We had so much fun walking around the market, buying flowers and treats, and then capping everything off with coffee. I’ll be excited to share my favorites soon.
For today, I’ll keep it short and sweet and share three new recipes plus a few more Thanksgiving ideas to help you round out your menu for tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with lots of tasty food. I’m very thankful for this community and the support and kind words I receive from you about my recipes. I view it as an honor that you allow me into your inbox, so thank you! 🫶
Let’s get into some recipes.
NEW RECIPES
Pumpkin Cheesecake Tart
Decadent pumpkin cream cheese filling with buttery, flaky puff pastry and a sweet, crunchy walnut streusel is a heavenly autumn dessert.
Chipotle Chicken and Rice Soup
And if you’re not in the mood for turkey tomorrow, try this chipotle chicken and rice soup! You could also shred up your leftover turkey and make this soup on Friday!
Buffalo Turkey Dip
Need to use up leftovers AND bring an app to game day? This Buffalo turkey dip has you covered.
MORE THANKSGIVING IDEAS
A few of my favorites are below, or you can click the button to view the entire archive.
Roasted Turkey Breast
I think I said I wasn’t going to make turkey for Thanksgiving, but I just gotta, so I’ll be making this roasted turkey breast. You can still dry-brine this turkey breast overnight, and it’ll be amazing! I’ll be throwing mine in the fridge as soon as I send off this newsletter!
Best Turkey Gravy
Use your turkey neck to make my favorite turkey gravy!
Sweet Potato Casserole
If you’re looking for an easy sweet potato casserole with a twist, this recipe is the one you want to start with. This Thanksgiving sweet potato recipe may have marshmallows, but it’s not cloyingly sweet.
Mushroom and Potato Leek Gratin
This mushroom and potato gratin recipe is aromatic, earthy, and oh so creamy and rich.
Sweet Potato Confit
One of my most requested Thanksgiving sides! It’s SO easy to make, and you can easily throw it together tonight and just warm it up in the oven tomorrow while your turkey rests.
Easy Baked Crab Balls
This has been my most searched recipe this week! Such a perfect app and a nice way to break up all the turkey. Plus, they’re easy as anything to throw together.
Sage-Vermouth Mushrooms with Whipped Ricotta
If you need a vegetarian side dish, sage-vermouth mushrooms with whipped ricotta are the place to start.
Sour Cream and Chive Mashed Potatoes
These rich, herby sour cream and chive mashed potatoes are the perfect accompaniment to any dinner that needs a little decadence.
Brussels Sprouts with Caramelized Shallots
These Brussels sprouts with smoky caramelized shallots are sweet, aromatic, and smoky.
A FEW MORE DESSERTS
Apple Cheesecake Tart
A rich cheesecake base with flaky puff pastry and spiced apples is the perfect Thanksgiving dessert.
Cranberry-Orange Upside-Down Cake
This cranberry-orange upside-down cake is a perfect holiday dessert that combines sweet-tart cranberries, a moist blood orange cake, and a sweet, herbaceous rosemary whipped cream.
Pumpkin Upside-Down Cake
Need a cozy autumn dessert to bring to Thanksgiving? This pumpkin upside-down cake delivers all the best fall flavors with a maple-walnut caramel and an irresistible salted maple cream cheese frosting.
Carrot & Cardamom Pudding with Cream Cheese Frosting
This is one of my favorite Easter desserts, but it would work so well if you’re looking for a reprieve from pumpkin!
That’s all for today! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with good food and good vibes. If you make one of my recipes, please drop a comment on the post to let me know how it turns out; I’d love to hear from you! You can also respond directly to this email! Byeeeeeeee! 💖💖
