Happy Sunday. Today, I have pumpkin treats, reader faves, and more ideas to inspire your meal plans for the rest of the week.

Weekend Update
I hope everyone had a fun and spooky Halloween weekend! Mine was filled to the brim with delicious food. On Friday, I saw Wicker in the theaters and had tapas for dinner at Tapas Teatro. So delicious, and we really enjoyed the movie! I also made my black sesame upside-down cake for a Halloween treat. I wish I’d had more spooky sprinkles, but all I had were eyes and a blueberry. Not the scariest face I’ve ever seen, but still tasty and delicious!
On Saturday, I had dinner with my parents. My dad made his chicken cacciatore with provolone. So, so good. One of my favorite meals! For dessert, I made pumpkin bars—a recipe that was contributed to my site by Mia a few years ago—and they are just so divine! I’ll share the recipe below.
For now, I have some reader faves and more ideas from the archives to inspire your meal plans for the rest of the week.

UPDATED RECIPE
Mia’s Easy Pumpkin Bars
Pumpkin bars with a rich, gooey pumpkin cream cheese filling on top of a crisp brown sugar crust make for the best autumn treat.
READER FAVES
Pumpkin Bread with Maple Glaze
Thank you, Melissa, for making this and bringing up the erroneous timing on my original post. Very fortuitous because I was able to enjoy making this bread three times last week to ensure the recipe was in tip-top shape, and it even inspired Megan to make it. Thrilled that both of you love this pumpkin bread as much as I do!
Easy Baked Crab Balls
Thank you so much for the 5-star review, Liam! One of my favorite party apps!
Spicy Chicken and Rice Soup
Thank you, Aimee! Such a great cold-weather soup. So happy you love it!
MORE IDEAS
Short Rib Lasagna
This short rib lasagna is rich, slow-simmered, and unapologetically decadent.
Braised Chicken with Creamy Leeks
This braised chicken with creamy leeks is the absolute best perfect cold-weather, easy braised chicken recipe.
One-Pot Sausage and Orzo
This one-pot sausage and orzo recipe is the perfect combination of hot Italian sausage, parsnips, and creamy whipped ricotta.
Herby Bean Stew
This herby bean stew is perfect on nights when you don’t have the energy for anything too fussy, but still want something home-cooked and comforting.
That’s all for this week! I hope everyone has a great week filled with lots of tasty food. If you make one of my recipes, please drop a comment on the post to let me know how it turns out; I’d love to hear from you! You can also respond directly to this email! Byeeeeeeee! 💖💖
