Happy Monday! If you remember from my last newsletter, my parents came down this weekend and helped me hang curtains (by “help”, I mean my dad did it, and I handed him the drill whenever he needed it).
I think they look so pretty, and I can’t believe it took me so long to get up the gumption to cover the windows.
After all that work, I made a big feast to revisit some of the recipes I made the week prior with my friend Shan. And this time, I actually jotted down all the steps, and ingredients, and I took photos of everything to share with you all today.
For this week’s newsletter, I’m sharing three new recipes: duck egg rolls, lobster noodles, and XO noodles with pork.
Duck Egg Rolls
Best saved for a weekend project on account of the long roasting time of the duck, these egg rolls are absolutely divine. A little spicy, super flavorful, and extra rich thanks to perfectly roasted, shredded duck. My tip? Rally your family or a group of friends to help you fold the egg rolls. It’s a super fun group project, and you’ll be done in no time. Plus, you can pay them in egg rolls.
PS: read the full post for a little bit of old-timey egg roll drama.
XO Noodles with Pork
Following a similar flavor profile to the lobster noodles below, these XO noodles with pork are easy to make and perfect for a flavor-laden weeknight meal.
Lobster Noodles
While lobster is fantastic in this, you need not break the bank for this recipe to work. Try it with shrimp or even diced chicken thighs.
I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as we did! Have a wonderful week, everyone!
