Happy Sunday. Today, I am in your inbox with a few reader faves.
The Weekend Update
But first, a little weekend update. I had a nice time in Rochester this weekend. I did some relaxing and some Pilates. Then, I had fun getting dressed up to go to Canandaigua. One of the highlights of the trip was a black sesame latte I had in the city. It was so good! If you ever bought Crunchy Black Sesame Butter from the shop I used to run, you know I’m a huge black sesame fan.
We ate at Rose Tavern, and it was good. I had the salmon, which came with Brussels sprouts, and a Mizuna salad on top. It was tasty, though I wish the Brussels sprouts had cooked for a minute or two less. If you’ve ever made one of my Brussels sprouts recipes (like these balsamic Brussels sprouts or these spicy miso Brussels sprouts), you know I don’t like for them to cook too terribly long. I prefer a bit of crunch! These were more on the mushy side, which wasn’t horrible, just not my preference.
The beet salad was delicious! I don’t remember what was in it, but I loved it!
All in all, it was a really nice weekend with delicious food, treats, and chill vibes that I really needed.
For today, I have a few reader faves and a couple of other recipes from the archives to share. I’ll be posting a few new recipes next week that I can’t wait to share with you. On to the recipes!
