Recipes for the week
New recipe + reader faves + Thanksgiving ideas 🌞
Happy Sunday. Today, I have a new recipe, reader faves, and a few more Thanksgiving ideas to keep you cooking all week long.

Weekend Update
On Friday, I enjoyed a little jaunt around DC. I had a great spicy margarita and then tried Love, Makoto for an excellent sushi dinner! I finally got my pumpkin upside-down cake recipe ready to share (linked below), and I’ll have lots more recipes to share before and after the holiday
Next week, I won’t actually be doing a Thanksgiving dinner. Normally, my parents would come down, but they won’t be able to this year, so I think I’m just going to enjoy a low-key day. I haven’t decided if I want to do a Thanksgiving-adjacent meal or if I want to just defy convention and make something totally different. Guess we’ll see next week!
Ok, enough for now. Let’s get into some recipes for the week!
NEW RECIPE
Pumpkin Upside-Down Cake
This pumpkin upside-down cake is frosted with the most outrageously delicious salted maple cream cheese frosting for a perfect addition to the Thanksgiving dessert table.
READER FAVES
Cranberry-Orange Upside-Down Cake
Thank you for this comment! We love it when a dessert is so good that it makes you the queen of the potluck! This cake has it all: a citrusy, moist cake, a sweet-tart cranberry layer, and the most irresistible rosemary mascarpone (or whipped cream!) topping.
Chocolate-Fig Upside-Down Cake
Another potluck success from Kirthi on Instagram! This chocolate-fig upside-down cake would also be a fantastic addition to the Thanksgiving table to satisfy the chocolate lovers. Yum!
Cream of Mushroom Soup
Woohoo! Love when a recipe breaks the scale. So happy you enjoyed this, and what a great idea to serve it with croutons. YUM. P.S.: This cream of mushroom soup is PERFECT as the base for your homemade green bean casserole.
