Happy Sunday. Today, I am in your inbox with new recipes, a “new” recipe, and reader faves. It’s been a whirlwind past few days; let’s dig in!

Weekend Update
Whew. It’s been a super busy past few days! I hosted my Galentine’s Day Party, and I am so proud of how it went off! The theme was “Tender Friends Chicken Tender Party.”
I made red velvet cupcakes, twice baked potatoes, a charcuterie board, three types of chicken tenders (Buffalo, Malaysian Red Curry, and Lemon Pepper), and a shaved fennel and arugula salad (recipe below!). I also made my mocha mousse which was a big hit! I really had fun planning the meal.
Each guest received a party favor. My theme was “good sleep, good skin, year of self care” and I gifted everyone a silk sleep mask, a pretty scarf (each person received a different design), and a skincare kit from Merigold. Lastly, I topped it off with a small box of truffles.
My friend also made a gift box of homemade soaps for everyone which we all loved smelling! Someone took a photo of me really soaking in the good feeling of lots of planning and work paying off. I’m really thrilled with how everything turned out.

Then it was Valentine’s Day! I mentioned this before, but I have (to my recollection) never gone out for Valentine’s Day. Never felt like fighting the crowds! This year, we went to Royal Taj and had a fantastic meal! I had a lot of fun getting dressed up. We ordered the chicken vindaloo, tandoori chicken, a crab fritter, and the samosa chaat. We finished with chai masala but were too stuffed to order dessert. Next time…
Finally, it was back to cooking! I revisited a recipe I developed years ago, and it was DELICIOUS! So I’m sharing it as a “new” recipe since I made a few tweaks to it. I also remade my arugula and fennel salad from Galentine’s Day and I’m sharing the recipe below. I know you’ll love it!
Okay, that was a LONG weekend update, so let’s get into recipes now!
NEW RECIPES
Braised Chicken with Creamy Leeks
This is such a great recipe. It’s simple enough for a midweek meal but gorgeous enough to serve as a main at an elegant gathering.
Shaved Fennel and Arugula Salad
This salad is dressed with an irresistible blood orange vinaigrette. I spike it with just a touch of Aleppo pepper for a nice kick that works well with the sweet orange juice and golden raisins. The maple-thyme roasted pecans are just the cherry on top of this delicious salad. YUM.
