Happy Sunday! Today, I am in your inbox with lots of reader faves from the week.
Weekend Update
Labor Day Weekend feels like it’s flying by, but I’m really happy to have off work tomorrow. This weekend, I did some hiking, drank lots of coffee, and had delicious mini corn fritters! Yesterday, I made beautiful branzino filets with blistered tomatoes and a salad. I need to perfect how I roast the fish because I wish the skin had been crispy. It tasted really good, though!
Labor Day always marks the end of summer for me, even though I know we have until September 22! I just feel like my mindset has shifted, and I’m ready to tackle new projects, recipes, or ideas. And by projects, recipes, or ideas, I mean all the autumnal food!
This weekend, I also did a practice turkey breast! I’m really excited to start planning Thanksgiving recipes, so if you have any requests, you can reply directly to this email :) Tonight, I’ll use some of the leftover turkey to make turkey and cheese melts that I will serve with spicy Calabrian tomato soup.
On another note, the Tasters program is going SO WELL! I’ve so enjoyed receiving valuable feedback on my recipes before they go on the site! I realize that slows down my recipe development a little bit, but I think the finished products are much more polished, and it gives me so much more confidence about the quality of the product I’m sending to your inboxes each and every week.
