Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Who are you rooting for? As none of my teams made it in, I am rooting for good chicken tenders today 😜 I’m really excited to share some new recipes with you and give you a few last minute game day ideas if you’re a chronic procrastinator like I am. Let’s dig in!

Weekend Update
I’ll keep the Weekend Update brief but it was a BUSY one this weekend! Friday, we actually went out to eat. I felt like I really need a respite from cooking so it was a welcome change in my routine. We went to Sushi Bruce Ya in Fell’s Point. I saw a comment on my local city subreddit that they get their fish in fresh from Japan every day or something, and it’s been in my brain to try it ever since. We were REALLY impressed with the sushi. We didn’t do any of the special rolls, opting for the fish-forward rolls, sashimi, and nigiri instead. The highlight was the salmon roll and actually the shrimp shumai. The shumai was tender and savory, but the ponzu sauce was unexpectedly spicy–maybe from shichimi togarashi–and we absolutely loved it. So good!
Yesterday, I cooked SO much! I made pepperoni and cheese rolls, raspberry mascarpone toast, and I retested my duck with vanilla parsnip purée recipe. I think I finally got it right! I’ll have lots of new recipes to share soon to get you ready for Valentine’s Day.
Let’s dig into recipes.
NEW RECIPES
My Favorite Cheesy Chicken Pasta
I told you all about this one a few weeks ago. I’ve made it multiple times since and landed on a version of the recipe that I just can’t get enough of. It’s cheesy, spicy, comforting, and perfect for an easy weeknight meal.
French Toast Recipe
If you’ve made my Homemade White Bread Recipe and need a way to use up the leftovers, may I offer this French toast with the most irresistible maple whipped cream as an option? The melted turbinado sugar gives it a crème brûlée vibe that you’re going to love.
LAST MINUTE GAME DAY IDEAS
Air Fryer Old Bay Wings
This has been my most searched Super Bowl recipe this week! People must love the combo of zesty, spicy Old Bay and crisp chicken wings that you can whip up almost effortlessly in the air fryer!
Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Wings
Today, I’m taking this recipe and testing it for chicken tenders! The sauce is so good that I lowkey wanna drink it, but I’ll settle for bathing crispy chicken tenders in it instead 😜
Sweet Chili Tofu
Need a vegan option at your table? This crispy sweet chili tofu will satisfy vegetarians and meat-eaters alike (trust me!).
My Mom’s Fried Chicken Tenders
Want to go for a classic tender? Make my Mom’s crispy fried chicken tenders! But you must serve them with honey mustard (I don’t make the rules). Okay, or your favorite dipping sauce, but honey mustard is my personal fave!
My Favorite London Broil Recipe
If you want to go a different route, reverse seared London broil is always a good choice. You could also it into thin strips and serve with corn tortillas and your favorite taco toppings for a little taco bar!
Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Tenders
In addition to my lemon pepper chicken tenders, I’ll probably make a batch of these Buffalo chicken tenders in the air fryer too because I just gotta have Buffalo something with Game Day!
No air fryer? Make the original instead!
READER FAVE
Easy Tomato-Basil Pearled Couscous
Thank you so much for the comment, Diana! I’m thrilled you enjoyed this cheesy, tomatoey pearl couscous! YUM!
That’s it for today! I hope everyone has a great week ahead filled with lots of tasty food. I’ll be in your inbox on Wednesday with my favorite Valentine’s Day recipes…including a gorgeous raspberry mascarpone toast that I might just have to make again for myself today…it was THAT good! Have a great week everyone! Byeeeeeeee! 💖💖
