Happy Sunday. Today, I have new recipes, reader faves, and a bit of summer recipe inspo to share with you.
Weekend Update
This weekend was gross and rainy, so I didn’t do too much. On Friday, we went out for sushi! I usually have one place that I absolutely love in Baltimore (Sushi Bruce Ya), but there’s another sushi restaurant nearby that is also highly rated, so I decided to give it a try. I wish I had stuck with my go-to, unfortunately. I did love the seating option at this sushi restaurant, but the food was just okay. Even still, it was fun to try a new restaurant right on the water!
I also booked a beach trip! I feel like I’ve been wanting to go to the beach for the last few years, but I just never booked it in time. Not so this year! I’m going to the Rockaways in July, and I can’t wait! When I lived in New York, we’d take plenty of little day trips to Fort Tilden, and it was always a nice reprieve from the city. I’m excited to return as a tourist 😜
Other than that, it was a pretty slow and low-key weekend, and I’ve also been cooking a lot. I have a few new recipes to share, so I’ll keep the weekend update short, so we can dig right in.
