Recipes for the week
New recipe + comfort meals 🌞
Happy Sunday. Today, I have a new recipe, a revisited recipe, plus popular comfort recipes to inspire your meal plan for the week.
Weekend Update
Yesterday I saw The Nutcracker for the first time! It was so much fun getting dressed up to go to the theater, and the show was a wonderful experience.
Aside from that, I’ve had a relaxing time cooking and baking. Late last week, I made an amazing amaretto cranberry almond upside-down cake, and I’m going to make it again today because it’s so good, and I want to share the recipe with you! It combines dried cranberries in the cake batter with an amazing amaretto + almond caramel and lots of orange juice and orange zest. It would make such a lovely Christmas dessert. I warmed up a slice in the air fryer after I got back last night, and it was so perfect…especially with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
Today, I’m making my turkey meatballs (linked below) with spaghetti for a simple Sunday dinner.
Let’s get into some recipes to keep you cooking all week long.
NEW RECIPE
Bell Pepper Turmeric Rice
This is one of my go-to side dishes during the week. I'll eat this with just about anything. It’s perfect with roasted chicken, pork, or crispy chickpeas. I also love it alongside chicken wings on game day.
REVISITED RECIPE
Cabbage Walnut Pasta
Sweet onions, charred cabbage, and plenty of garlic create a savory base for tender pasta, while walnuts add crunch and depth.
POPULAR RIGHT NOW
Chocolate-Banana Upside-Down Cake
Everyone’s been looking this recipe up today! It’s a perfect Sunday dessert: a glossy brown-sugar caramel, buttery caramelized bananas, and a moist chocolate cake. What’s not to love?
Creamy Shrimp and Gnocchi
This creamy shrimp and gnocchi recipe is rich, creamy, spicy, and a perfect comfort dinner idea. The best part? It’s super easy to make.
Short Rib Lasagna
Everyone’s been searching for this recipe, and I’m going to be reshooting it tomorrow. I can’t wait! It’s luxe, decadent, and a perfect Christmas dinner option.
Spicy Ginger and Sweet Potato Chicken Soup
This spicy ginger and sweet potato chicken soup is easy to make with a fragrant, spicy homemade broth and tender sweet potatoes.
Italian Turkey Meatballs
This is what I’ll be making tonight! Juicy, flavorful, and perfect for pasta or subs, or risotto (in my case tonight).
Creamy Lemon Arugula Pasta with Sausage
This creamy lemon arugula pasta with sausage is one of my favorite pasta recipes. It’s tangy, it’s rich, it’s peppery, it’s spicy, and all of that equals pure comfort.
Creamy Kale and Mushroom Soup
This creamy kale and mushroom soup is a perfect vegetarian dinner recipe that you can whip up any night of the week. It’s so easy to throw together and tastes amazing!
That’s all for this week! I hope everyone has a great week filled with lots of tasty food. If you make one of my recipes, please drop a comment on the post to let me know how it turns out; I’d love to hear from you! You can also respond directly to this email! Byeeeeeeee! 💖💖

Your approach to weeky meal planning feels so refreshing because youre mixing intentionality with spontaneity. I love how the bell pepper turmeric rice becomes versatile enough to anchor different proteins through out the week rather than being locked into one meal. That idea of creating flexible base recipes actually reduces decision fatigue way mroe than rigid meal plans, since you're building cooking momentum instead of following a script.
