Happy Sunday. Today, I have two reader faves plus a few ideas to inspire your Thanksgiving table next week. Let’s dig in.
READER FAVES
Orange-Maple Roast Duck
Thank you, C! I’m so happy you enjoyed this. If you’re not feeling turkey this year, this orange-maple roast duck is the way to go! It’s sweet, savory, and so rich!
15-Minute Smoky Brothy Beans
Thank you, Donna! This recipe is perfect for the days before Thanksgiving when you gotta eat, but you’re saving your energy for the BIG cooking day! It’s a low-effort dream dinner.
MY THANKSGIVING TABLE
Here are the recipes I will be serving on Thursday!
Orange-Maple Roast Turkey
Since I love the flavor of the orange-maple duck so much, I tested a version with turkey, and it was equally delicious! This will be the star of the show on Thursday.
Sweet Potato Confit
I make sweet potato confit every Thanksgiving, and it’s always a hit. I love that it’s so easy to make. Just cut sweet potatoes into rounds, cover them with olive oil, add a few herbs, and cook low-and-slow in the oven. I serve it with a delicious pomegranate maple sauce that everyone loves. This method gives you buttery sweet potato medallions that melt in your mouth and are ridiculously easy to make.
Turkey Neck Gravy
One turkey neck is never enough for me! I always buy a few extra and roast them for a very rich and meaty turkey neck gravy. It’s my favorite!
Sweet Potato Casserole
I like to adorn my sweet potato casserole with both nuts and marshmallows. I also add a little pomegranate juice for an extra tart punch to offset the sweetness of the casserole. So good!
Homemade Green Bean Casserole
This is my favorite thing to make every year! And don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the OG Campbell’s GBC, but there’s something gratifying about making it from scratch. The sweet vermouth cream of mushroom sauce is out of this world good!
Caramelized Onion and Miso Stuffing
Sweet, caramelized onions and salty miso are a match made in heaven for this stuffing recipe. I make it every year, and it’s always a hit!
Mia’s Pumpkin Bars
I haven’t decided if I’ll make pie or not, but I always make these pumpkin bars, and they’re amazing! My good friend, Mia, developed this recipe, and they never last long on the table!
That’s it for this week! I hope everyone has a wonderful week filled with tasty food. If you need help with anything Thanksgiving-cooking-related, reach out to me! That’s all for now. Byeeeeeeee. 💖💖
