Weekend Update
Another weekend has come and gone! On Friday, I made my go-to steak salad with a big sirloin steak. This time, I froze half of it, so I’ll be able to make it again next Friday! On Saturday, we went out to Middle River and had some delicious tacos and tamales, and I even indulged in a 12 PM jalapeño margarita before we hit one of the Maryland beaches. We decided to try out Hammerman Beach at Gunpowder Falls. It was nice to lounge in the sun and dip my toes into the water!
Today, I’m roasting a turkey breast! One of my favorite things to make because it’s so easy to throw together and there are always plenty of leftovers. For today’s version, I’m roasting a 6-pound, bone-in turkey breast that I seasoned with about 2 tablespoons of Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning. Before roasting, I drizzled it with a bit of extra virgin olive oil. All I do is throw it in at 325ºF on a raised rack on a foil-lined baking sheet. It usually takes 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours to roast, but that means I’ll have plenty of time to throw together my sides. I haven’t decided what I’ll make. Maybe mashed potatoes!
For now, let’s get into some reader faves + a few more ideas for the week.
ALSO! Tonight, I’m doing a giveaway! I’ve partnered with Caraway to give away a gorgeous set of stainless steel bowls. If you’ve seen my gloop posts and have been wanting to try it, these bowls will be the perfect way to start. It’ll be posted on my Instagram and TikTok tonight with details on how to enter.
