Happy Friday. It’s the first weekend of June, which means it’s basically officially summer.

I still can’t cook a whole lot because my unlucky self got a dry socket after my wisdom tooth removal, so I’m still on soft food. I’m finally starting to recover, which is almost a shame because I’ve really been embracing my inner Marlon Brando.

*I’m gonna make you a meal you can’t refuse.*

I still sound like I have cotton balls in my mouth, but hopefully, I’ll feel 100% next week. I did have a brief moment where I was worried all of this would be permanent, and my stint as a recipe blogger would be over. My oral surgeon assured me that wasn’t the case and that I could stop stressing. Whew!

In other news:

I submitted my upcoming vegan cookbook to a contest! I’ve never done a contest before, but I went for it since the opportunity presented itself! If you haven’t pre-ordered it, you can order it here!

I poured my whole heart into this one, and I can’t wait to see how it does in the contest. Wish me luck!
