Happy Sunday. Last night, I cooked on Tiktok as a way to force myself to be more comfortable on camera. I made a delicious tofu curry, and since it’s something I make weekly, there was no better meal to guide me through the stress of being on video. The recipe is written in the description of the TikTok video if you want to make it. The videos are a little chaotic and erratic, but I’m (mostly) having fun.
Today, I’m thinking about soup, so I’ll be making a variation of my chicken orzo soup on TikTok, so follow along if you want to watch me be disorganized and nervous in my tiny kitchen. :)
At the end of the week, I like to check my analytics to see what recipes are being searched for the most on my website. Unsurprisingly, many readers are embracing soup season, and my 5-Ingredient Chicken Soup has been the star of the site this week.
For today’s newsletter, I’m including all my most searched-for recipes this week, so you have lots of ideas for tonight’s dinner or for meals for the rest of the week.
I’m also going shopping on Etsy tonight to find some vintage platters for Thanksgiving. I’ll be sure to share what I snag once I receive them!
Most Popular Recipes on Tried & True Right Now:
5-Ingredient Chicken Soup
The broth is bright and gingery, with chicken thighs lending just the right amount of fat and richness to the broth to give it a nice mouthfeel. Peas work perfectly as a quick veggie addition, but throw in spinach or baby corn instead if you prefer.
Creamy Chicken Soup with Peas
This creamy chicken soup with peas and mushrooms is delicious and rich but has a nice brightness to it thanks to fresh-shelled peas, parsley, and lemon.
Creamy Spinach Pasta Sauce
If you’re feeling like more of a pasta babe than a soup babe, this creamy spinach pasta sauce has been wildly popular with readers this week.
Classic Beef Chili
If you’re watching football tonight (🦬 go Bills 🦬), my beef chili is a must. I love this chili piled on baked potatoes or served with yummy chili toppings, like avocado, sour cream, and cheese, of course.
Creamy Chicken Tomato Soup
This creamy chicken tomato soup is so easy to prepare. It’s loaded with carrots, potatoes, and beans and makes for a perfectly satisfying weeknight soup recipe.
Pasta al Forno
This pasta al forno is RICH–unapologetically so–and is just the kind of cheesy comfort you need on a cold night. This baked pasta dish is akin to a big hug. It’s that good and that comforting.
That’s all! I hope you find a new recipe to love from the list above. If you make one of them, let me know how it turned out. I’d love to hear from you. Hope you all have a great week filled with lots of tasty food!
