Your September Meal Plan
I know you still have some summer tomatoes to use up! 🌞
Happy Monday! I’m SO excited to bring you September’s meal plan. The summer produce is beginning to wind down at the farmer’s market, but there are still some summer tomatoes to be had if you’re looking for them. I have two tomato recipes in this meal plan that you’re going to love.
The first is a Tomato & Tofu Noodle Soup which is so divine yet so easy to make. The second is an Aleppo Pepper Linguine. Have you ever cooked with Aleppo pepper? It’s one of my favorite spices to keep on hand. Try it out in the linguine; you’ll love the subtle smoky tanginess. It’s not terribly spicy, and when you’re not using Aleppo pepper to flavor your pasta, it’s amazing on eggs. Like seriously amazing.
This month I have a bonus recipe. It’s my warm potato salad that you can serve with the Steak and Shoaxing Wine Mushrooms.
Speaking of Shoaxing wine, if you don’t have it, you can use dry sherry instead. But, I strongly recommend keeping a bottle of this fortified wine in your cabinet (you can buy it on Amazon!). It adds a subtle complexity to just about anything. I used it in my sweet chili meatballs tonight, and it was delicious!
